Who Works Here?

John Edwards Care Homes Ltd staff team includes a range of experiences in caring for children & adults with a learning disability. The manager is qualified in social work or residential childcare. Most of the staff have a number of years experience in this or similar work. All staff are required to commence a Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 3, within the first year of appointment if they don’t already hold this qualification.

All staff receives regular training in the many aspects of caring for children and adults with disabilities including safeguarding, first aid, communication, medication and health and safety matters.

All staff receive regular supervision from more experienced staff to monitor their work and help develop their skills.

Dawn Johnson is also the registered provider for both Buttons and Bows. Tracey Edwards is the operational service director for both Buttons and Bows

Sue Watson, Registered Manager of Buttons
My name is Sue Watson I have for many years worked within the care sector.
I have a wealth of experience supporting individuals with physical and learning disabilities.
I have empowered individuals to live independently and also with in the residential environment.
Through my experience I have been able to gain a Diploma Level 5 in Management for Health and Social Care.

Lynette Buttery, Registered Manager of Bows
Lynette joined Bows in 2015 and is the registered manager; Lynette has always has a passion for care and has worked in a nursery school and many different areas of residential care with the most recent being a management role in a large residential home registered with CQC. Lynette has gained her level 5 diploma in leadership for health and social care. . Lynette has a child with a diagnosis of Asperger’s so has good knowledge in this area and empathy for the family members of the young people using the service.

Nancy Pilime, Registered Manager of Bobbins
A caring, sympathetic and hardworking Care manager who has worked in Health and Social care for over 13years with different healthcare providers. I have worked within the Mental health sector in hospitals, domiciliary and residential care with both young and older adults in different roles which has enabled me to increase any existing standards of care and kindness to all my roles . I have obtained a level 4 in Health and Social Care and currently working on achieving a Level 5 in Health and Social care. I have worked at Bobbins for 2 years gaining valuable experience on the smooth running of the home, staff training and working with the young adults living at Bobbins alongside their family and other healthcare professionals.
